Before The Beginning Began

This week we began a new series that will carry us to Advent called “Before The Manger”. In the weeks ahead we will journey back and see Christ woven all throughout the Old Testament.

This week, setting the stage from the New Testament, we saw how John’s Gospel echos the beginning of Genesis. While Genesis revealed what God “DID” in the Beginning, John reveals who God “Already Was” in the Beginning. Genesis starts with creation, John starts with the Creator! This series must start here as it will lay the groundwork for the next several weeks together.
